Exemptions for semester tests:
All students must attend school during exams.
· Students must have no more than 3 absences. (U-NT)
· Students are allowed 5 additional medical absences for exemption purposes only.
· Students must have an 85 or above term average for the class.
· Students must have NO unexcused absences.
· Three tardies in a class equals one absence for that class in calculating exemptions.
· All school fees including textbook replacement fees and fines must be paid.
· No AEP, Excel, or suspensions. No more than two days of TAP.
· Student must not have received a U in conduct at any time.
· Student must have taken and passed the TAKS Tests in the exempted subject area.
· All freshmen must take semester exams for the first semester.
· All students taking an honors class must take the final exam in that particular class.
Each class period is considered separately for exemptions.
